News   Resident Evil 1 Comes to GameCube
- Posted By Ryan Eid, 09.12.2001

Resident Evil 1, the six year old PlayStation game, which began the whole "survival horror" game craze, is going to be re-released on the GameCube early next year by Capcom. The good news is that the graphics are supposedly going to get a major overhaul, and reportedly rival those of Devil May Cry on the PS2 (graphics which may make you cry, if you haven't seen this beautiful game in motion). There will be other GCN-exclusive elements implimented into the game, though details on them right now are hazy. Hopefully a better control scheme will be implimented.

Although dissapointing to hear that Capcom is wasting its talents on a port of a game that's been out since 1995, it's good to hear they are putting some serious effort into its rerelease. And, according to Capcom, Resident Evil 0 is still on schedule for GameCube at some point in the future.
