News   Ikaruga == You May Wet Your Pants

Who says the 2D Shooting genre has to die? Certainly not Treasure -- a company notable for many worldclass 2D games.

Many people regard Sega Saturn's Radiant Silvergun as being one of the best 2D shooting games of all-time. Ikaruga is the sequel to it, which has appeared in arcades and be released on Dreamcast before the end of the year as one of its final games.

However, in 2003 Treasure has plans to port Ikaruga to the GameCube for a worldwide release. As a special treat, the Cube version will include special features that even the Dreamcast version doesn't have.

More as it is available, and thanks to IGN Cube for the scoop.
