Preview  Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
- By Daniel Maraglio [Senior Editor]

EA's Medal of Honor series is taking the fight to the Pacific in their newest title. Medal of Honor: Rising Sun will be the series first game to see the war on the other side of the world. Playing the role of an American soldier stationed at Pearl Harbor, on December 8th 1941 you are shaken from your Bunk aboard a warship by an explosion. You rush outside to see the carnage of the infamous attack by the Japanese Empire's airforce.

Taking players from Pearl Harbor, they will play ten levels throughout the Pacific campaign with varied objectives. Rising Sun will employ a number of new features, such as the open field system. The player is given much more freedom to explore the terrain, letting them decide when and where to engage the enemy or maybe bypass them altogether. Other features are a two player co-op mode. Four player deathmatches, over twenty authentic weapons, improved enemy AI and more emphasis on fighting alongside AI allies. Hopefully the twitchy aim that plauged MOH: Front Line will be improved.

Claiming again to capture the look and feel of the original battles, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun looks like a worthy addition to the Medal of Honor series and will probably be the best title yet. The graphics look like they are running on a whole new engine that looks fantastic while sound and music will most likely also live up to the hype. Defenitely a must-buy title.
