Preview  Wings
- By Ryan Eid [Senior Editor]

Does this game's name ring a bell to you? Does the word "Amiga" ring a bell? What about the developer "Cinemaware"? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you were probably one of the proud few who played an Amiga console back in the mid-80s. With the help of developer Crawfish, Cinemaware is set to bring this Amiga game back to life on the Game Boy Advance.

Wings, as the name may suggest, pits the player in a World War I biplane, flying over enemy territory and strategically bombing the locales. The game spans 1914 through 1918, and has over 230 missions packed inside, with everything from dogfighting, to bombing enemy headquarters.

Unlike most plane-based shooters though, the vantage point of Wings is set up more like a strategy game, in an isometric view. There is also a pseudo-3D first-person view that players will be able to take advantage of.

Chances are pretty excellent you have never played this game before on the Amiga, so those looking for an old-school WWI flight combat game (who isn't??) may want to check this game out when it hits the GBA sometime second quarter 2002.
