Review  Perfect Dark  - Fudgenut's Final Impressions
- By Mike Schneider, -by Andrew Weatherton , 6.30.00

The aspect of the game that I love is all of the options.  Because of the mass amount of flexibility, I can pretty much do whatever I want.  I never have to say, “Why won’t the game let me do this?”  Another great thing, although PD was not the creator of this idea, is the statistics.  I love how you can compare yourself to other people.  That is why you will soon see a feature here at N64Shooters in which you can submit your own PD stats and compare them with other gamers across the world.  Finally, one of the few bad things in the game: the lag.  Although it doesn’t have an incredible impact on the game play to the extent where PD multiplayer is unplayable, its effect is still clear and distracting to the overall effect of the game.  One place where I noticed extreme lag when there really shouldn’t be was when you are choosing your character.  This is something I think that they could have fixed beforehand.  However, the lag that appears when you have 4 humans and 8 simulants is not shocking.  When you have that many characters all thinking for themselves, it is very difficult to make the game run smoothly.  This lag I do not expect them to fix and think that it is nearly impossible eliminate.
